Mission Del Lago

Mission Del Lago opened for sales in 2004 as an entry level master planned community. The community’s location on San Antonio’s south side created an instant appeal to Latino families who were familiar and comfortable with the area, and who desired the opportunity to stay and raise families there.

The community surrounds a municipal golf course, which creates a valuable amenity by providing the feeling of open space, and by enhancing home values along the course. The golf course is part of the “Alamo City Golf Trail”, which includes affiliated course throughout the city.

Children have a short walk within the subdivision to the TEC "Recognized" Gallardo Elementary School on Del Lago Parkway.  When school is closed, Gallardo's playground is available for recreational use to Mission del Lago residents.

The community is bordered by the 1200 acre Mitchell Lake Wildlife Refuge and Audubon Center.  The Medina Walking Trail will soon meander through the quiet neighborhood. Favorite activities include backyard birding and nature walks.

Mission Del Lago is a short commute from the Toyota plant, the booming Brooks City Base, the new Texas A & M University campus, and Eagle Ford Shale related companies such as Halliburton and Schlumberger.  It is a 5 minute drive to IH-37 and 15 minutes to downtown San Antonio.

Currently the two active builders (Lennar and D.R. Horton) maintain models on site and market their product through their individual web sites.
